Newdepts is an IT Service provider based in Ennistymon, Co. Clare. We offer a complete IT service, which, depending on the service required, we operate as hands-on or on a project management basis with our clients. Our in-house expertise and skills covers a wide range of IT requirements.

In addition, we also draw on a pool of quality, professional, and creative people to offer products and services appropriate to meet the individual requirements of our clients. A key feature of newdepts business approach is the belief that a customized solution is the best solution; we are therefore in a position to offer our clients the very best solution possible.

In dealing with our clients, effectiveness, reliability, remaining within budgetary constraints are of the greatest importance to us.

John Doorty

John is founder and managing director of newdepts. John is a graduate of the University College Galway and the University of Limerick. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Computing, and a diploma in IT Studies. He is also MySQL certified as a MySQL Database Administrator.

He began a career in teaching in the Limerick Institute of Technology where he taught for 7 years and from where his interests subsequently moved into IT. He held a Technical Position with Eircom’s Ennis Information Age Town Project.

During his time with the Ennis Information Age Town Project he worked for companies located throughout Ennis and Clare. Exposure to various IT promotions and pilot projects operated by the Ennis Information Age Town resulted in the development of his vast technical experience, IT knowledge, and expertise on all aspects of IT services. He was recognized there for his instinctive capacity to identify problems and provide solutions and was given a performance rating of 8 out of 10 by the project manager.

In 2001 John left Ennis Information Age Town Project to establish newdepts and work as an IT Consultant.
